New for 2012, the RedCore Concept R-1 takes the same great technology of their ever-popular R-4 and introduces a slim design around it. At 10 inches high and less than 1 foot wide, the R-1 has the potential to be the most impactful heater for its size on the market. And at 12 lbs, you can take it virtually anywhere. But again, time will tell if this heater lives up to the hype as it's still fresh to the industry.

The R-1 also features a two-way adjustable fan and three convenient settings from 500W to 1,500W. The electronic, LCD touch screen display magnificently shows off both the current temperature and the desired temperature (not seen on many other heaters out there). Temperatures range from 60-90F degrees. Lastly, but certainly most important, is the Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) technology. For those of you new to the industry, PTC technology allows heat to radiate for almost 4 times the amount of time vs. ordinary quartz element heaters. As ordinary quartz elements slowly die out over time, PTC stays strong until the bitter end - almost 80,000 hours later. It seems a bit unreal but RedCore is out to prove their heaters are superior to the "copy-cat" competition out there who utilize the standard and less expensive quartz technology. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
